About Me
I have over three decades of legislative and policy advocacy, lobbying, strategic organizing, campaign development, political and event planning experience, skills, and relationships with a proven track record of success. I have relationships with key Connecticut legislative and policy leaders and an extensive network of coalition, labor and advocacy relationships and partnerships.
My entire career has involved working in coalitions and partnerships to collectively organize and build power for change, advance policies, laws and system improvements that equalize the balance of power for those most disenfranchised by the status quo,. My work within movements is always oriented towards engaging stakeholders in the fight for a fairer and more just society. As a lobbyist, I believe my job is to help change agents identify and develop a strategic plan to have their voices heard by decision makers in our State government.
My experience in the legislative and policy world is expansive, hands on and informed by those with whom I have worked in many different movements. The movements in which I have been most active include the successful fight for marriage equality and lgbtq+ rights, health equity and healthcare access for all, justice for victims/survivors of gender-based violence, mental health parity and awareness, worker’s rights to form unions and collectively bargain, justice for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons and more. The last 20 years as political director and the elected member of the United Auto Worker International Executive Board afforded me the opportunity to work collectively to improve the lives and economic security of thousands of workers across New England, NYC and Puerto Rico. Leaving the UAW in 2022 has afforded me the opportunity to refocus my energy on issue based advocacy and movement building.
During the 2023 legislative session, I worked for several groups both pro bono and paid. Thanks to the two decades of work with UAW, I am able to offer my extensive experience, relationships and skills to non-profits, social justice groups, and coalitions in an affordable and cost effective manner. I pledge to work closely and flexibly with groups seeking representation as your partner and ally. I will be all in.

How We Can Work Together
-
Legislative and Policy Advocacy - Lobbying
I approach my work in the legislative/administrative and policy arena as a conduit for access, facilitator, teacher, and guide. Empowering those who seek change through the legislative and administrative process with knowledge, information, guidance and resources is essential as they are by far the most effective advocates and lobbyists.
-
Strategic Organizing for Power
During my tenure at UAW, I was part of a team that organized more than 15,000 workers over a period of ten years. The most effective legislative advocacy efforts, in my experience, involve an organized, message driven and focused strategy in the communities, neighborhoods, coalitions and organizations where people who seek change live and work. I will work with you to train, educate and guide your constituency and stakeholders to build power for change.
-
Planning Events To Build Power
Throughout my tenure in both the non-profit and labor union sectors, I learned that events to fundraise, raise awareness, protest or engage stakeholders is a daunting effort. I have years of experience working in partnership to develop and implement successful, message driven events designed to meet your goals.
